Mr. Wise is a registered patent attorney here in Dallas. A former U.S. Patent Office examiner with over 25 years in the field, he is a member of the Patent & Trademark Office Society, the American Bar Association, the American Intellectual Property Association, and many other legal organizations. He is also an active member of the Texas Inventors' Association, donating time to helping individual inventors begin and understand the patent process.

What Inventors Really Want to Know

Patent Agent Robert Frantz * will present a free public forum developed especially for independent inventors. Attendees can submit two general questions of their choice any time up to October 29. The most popular and interesting questions will be selected and answered in the seminar. Topics could include things such as, "Do I need to file for a patent before I begin selling my product?", “How should I market my invention?”, "Is my invention patentable?", "Is there a trick to making good patent drawings?", and "What if someone infringes on my patent overseas?"

Robert Frantz is the founder of Franklin Gray Patents, LLC, former VP of Intellectual Property Affairs of the Tekgenix Corporation, and a registered U.S. Patent Agent. He is also a degreed engineer with more than 20 years experience designing new products for a variety of markets. His background includes a focus on the fields of electrical, software and electronics design and he has previously worked for companies such as Texas Instruments, Motorola, InterVoice, and DNA Enterprises. Mr. Frantz has partnered with Dallas Public Library to provide free programs on the patent process to local inventors since 1998.
