Library Services: Bookmobile


The Bookmobile is open to people of all ages. Services and materials include:

  • Free library cards for City of Dallas residents
  • Adult and children’s books and audiobooks
  • DVD and VHS movies for children and adults
  • Spanish language and English as a Second Language materials
  • English as Second Language materials
  • Materials not carried on the bookmobiles can be requested and brought on a future stop.
  • Wireless internet access
  • Renewal of materials
  • Connections to the Dallas Public Library catalog, databases and online homework help
  • Community programming
  • The ability to request materials not carried on the bookmobiles, but which can be brought on a future stop
  • Story time for children during regular stops

Please contact the Bookmobile office at 214-670-1708 or libraryonwheels@dallaslibrary.org to schedule a stop at your event or organization. (Note: The Bookmobile is 40 feet long and must have an easy way to enter and exit at all stops.) You may also use these online forms to request a stop:
