Library Services: Meeting Rooms

Planning a Meeting? The J. Erik Jonsson Central Library can accommodate groups large and small. A wide range of facilities is available for public use at the Central Library. The spaces can accommodate a variety of activities, from large events to small, informal meetings.

The Central Library has rooms that accommodate 5 to 300 including room for small conferences or symposiums. Basic audio/visual equipment is available for rental. Spaces are available anytime the library is open.  For pricing and availability of rooms, please contact our Meeting Room Coordinator at 214-670-7846.

If you are interested in renting a space, please be sure to….

  • Give us ample time to process the application (14 days is recommended for first time users.
  • Complete all applicable information on the rental application
  • Provide proof of nonprofit status, if applicable.
    - IRS 501(c)3 form
    - Bylaws
  • Provide an insurance certificate …
    - For all for profit organizations
    - Nonprofit organizations, if event is open to the general public

Branch Libraries

Each of the branch libraries has meeting spaces.  Some have auditoriums and the Hampton Illinois Branch has also a black box theatre space.  For information on these facilities, please contact the Branch Library directly. A map of the system is online here.
